White Lies ( In Your Face)

This Poem is about how a little girl lies about everything she does. Also how she would always get caught by her mother, and ever time she would get her mouth washed soap "..... to cleans you mouth of your lies.....". In the end she was eventually "cured" of her lieing.

In this book so far it was about a bunch of kids. And talking about there appearances. So, in the end there was no one to care about but your own self and how you looked inside of how others look.

Amigo's Brothers Author Review

Today in class we learned at little bit more about the history of the Amigo's Brothers. Also we learned about who the author was and what type of hardship he had to face, the reason why he became an author, and why he made the Amigo's Brothers . We also learned that he has other stories/book and they had very good reviews. But lastly, it was good for him to make this stories/books not only for himself to enjoy, but for other people as well.

The Amigos Brothers (SS)

Today in class we finished a story About these two boys, that had to box. And they go to great distances to to train for this fight. and when they fight they they are going toe-to-toe no one has the clear advantage. And in the end they come to find out friendship is better than winning. So before they find out, they walk because they don't care who won. In each others eyes they were champions.

Farlis says that, " If you kill the father, you kill a part of his children as well," And that is true for the most part. No kid should have to grow up with out a father figure nor with the mother as well.

Now they are talking about how the kids have to follow the rules in the country. And what type of government they have. And now some of the people from town hall are down there holding a rally against violence.

So far the book is talking about if someone gets murdered and you see it then you will die to. And also if you see them and they don't happen to see you and you go and tell then your died because you told. That's why they have so much crime because they afraid that they will be killed or someone close to them will be. Por ver caer or " to see is to die.

Then family or so called family confronted this young boy. And says to him why are you doing this. He responds by saying I have no choice. And he quickly says back there is always another choice. But he doesn't listen, and finds out that is was a hard world.

This Chapter is talking about a young couple having to take care of a kid when they are 17. And also the pressure of marriage. And what type of work the boy/man hand to do just so he could feed all of them. The job wasn't something to be proud of (killing). But yet he stilling did it, to support his up coming family.

Continuing this book, Juan decided to make a difference in his community. And how the kids teased him about what he was doing. Also saying that he didn't care what people had to say. He knew that he was doing the right thing.

This boy from the beginning of the book is now talking about the hardship that had to come while he was living at home. And the people that was around them were demanding and scary. Also that his dad had to pay for some man to leave them alone.

The beginning of this book it starts of a boy losing both he dad and cusin due to someone killing them. He didn't know why the people did what they did. And he asks himself why did it happen.

Michigan Basket ball will always be the best type of ball. Except wen they are going agianst Notre Dame.

I like this book so far becuse like me the boy in this book. We both love basket ball with a passion. We both beilive that we can play, really good and no one can tell use other wise. People try to intimedate use put sadly it dont work.

The Greatest (Muhammad Ali)

So far I have started reading a new book called The Greatest and the beginning of the book is tell about what was his number one rule while he is in the ring. He rule is "Fly like a butterfly, sting like a bee!" But what i got from this little part that I have read so far was that he was actually afraid of somebody until he won so I say with a little perseverance you can accomplish anything!!

Colts vs. Jaguars

Indianapolis left Jacksonville with a 37-3 win and all eyes on Seattle, but first, let's reflect on this one. In my opinion the Colts are doing what they are good at doing. Seattle needs to step it up next game they play.

One of the stories in this book was called, "Caught in Gambling Grip"

This Passage was about this girl (Lisa Hoffman) having a gambling problem.

It also was about the hard ships she had with not gambling again.

Then it explains how she came form a long line of gamblers and how that went bankrupted because of their problem.

Its also talked about her having to get help because she lost everything.

And how to stay on track with not gambling again.

Survivor

This book is about A whole lot of people survived really bad problems. Mentally and Physically challenges, such as losing the ability to walk to being afraid of what others might think of you if you act a certain way. All and all it teaches a story about what each person went through to be who they are now as an outstanding person in society.

THIS STORY IS ABOUT THE GANG RATE IN CALIFORNIA. AND HOW IT IS HARD TO GET OUT OF A GANG. AND EVEN WHEN YOU GET OUT IT WILL BE REALLY HARD TO TRY AND GET A JOB, BECAUSE OF YOUR GANG AFFILIATION.

The Story is about a 13 year old girl losing her left arm to a 17 foot Tiger Shark. And how she got back to shore. Her amazing comeback from her lost her arm. Then to recover form the tragic incident. Next training for the next tournament. Finally Winning the Hawaii Tournament.

Teaching Chess & Life

"What this story about is a man keeping a young boy off the streets for his own good. And the thing he would do would be teaching him about life but he was doing it in a  way that he could understand. The way he taught him was by teaching him chess. But in a way he taught him about life move by move peace by peace. but the main idea is life is just like chess you always have to plan for your next move. One of the  things that helps me stay on track is basket ball, its so amazing to see one little thing can keep someone out of so much trouble,"
